A Guide to Pure4EGS for Molloy faculty.

Contribution to Journal

Use for:

  • Academic or Scholarly journal
  • Journal with an ISSN or EISSN
  • Match with one of the content types below

Do not use for:

  • Published conference proceedings if there is an ISBN of the volume and an ISSN for the series
  • Published conference proceedings with no ISBN, EISSN, or ISBN
  • Pre-prints, which can be found under Working paper
  • Newsletter, Magazine, or web-only articles not affiliated with a publication with an ISSN or EISSN
  • Newspaper articles - there is a separate section called Press & Media for that type of content.

Content types:

  • Article (peer-reviewed and not peer-reviewed)
  • Meeting abstract
  • Letter
  • Comment/debate
  • Book/Film/Article review
  • Literature review
  • Editorial
  • Review article

Required fields

The more information you can add, the better; however, the required fields are:

  • Peer-reviewed selection
  • Publication status and date
  • Original language (default is American English)
  • Title of contribution
  • Authors
  • Managing organizational unit (select Molloy University)
  • Journal

Important

Authors: If one, or more, of your co-authors are Molloy Faculty who are have profiles then only one of you needs to add the information to your profile. Be sure to select the other co-authors from the Internal Persons list which should populate as you type in their name.

Journal: Begin to type in the journals name or acronym and select from the list. Over 600 journals are currently in pure, while you can add new journals, please do not duplicate journal information. If possible, when adding a new Journal title also provide the ISSN.

Publisher: Similar to journals, publishers have also been added to Pure. Select the publisher from list before adding a new one.

Managerial Organizational Unit: This can be Molloy University.

Optional and helpful information

While optional, it is extremely helpful to librarians and researchers if you can add the following information when applicable:

  • Abstract
  • Link to publication
  • Keywords
  • Disciplines
