Remember, library assignments make up 5% of your final grade for this class. You must complete this assignment to receive these points. 

The purpose of this activity is for the student to utilize the skills they learned from their library (information literacy) activities to collect the necessary resources for a college level research paper.

• Part 1: Determine the topic of your research paper (this should coincide with one required for your semester)
• Part 2: Log into the JET library website and conduct a search for a refereed (also called peer-reviewed) article on the topic for your research paper. Once you find an article, save it as a pdf file so you can review it later
• Part 3: Answer the following questions about your article.
  • What topic did you search for
  • What is the title of the article
  • Write the citations as it would appear in APA
  • Write the citation as it would appear in MLA
  • How did you determine it was a scholarly article? List 3 ways.
  • Summarize your article (and how it is helpful to your research paper) in 250-300 words.

Using CREDO References: Credo Reference

Create a mindmap for one of your upcoming research papers (feel free to use the Common Read if needed). Include 3 scholarly, primary sources that will help with your topic.
