Since 2007, Internet usage in adults 18 and up has remained relatively flat. Has the internet plateaued?
The graph below speaks directly to the notion of the Digital Divide. Although all community types increase year over year, still only 50% of rural households have a broadband connection.
The next graph illustrates the age span of social media users. All age groups, including seniors 65 years or older are participating in social networking and their growth rate is porportionate to that of adults 18-49; "baby boomers" show the largest increase over a 5 year span.
