Catholic Volunteer Network, established in 1963, is a non-profit membership organization of 215 domestic and international volunteer and lay mission programs.

LIVE mobilizes volunteer teams from the corporate, academic and not-for-profit sectors to complete a one day project that will significantly improve the quality of life for many who live and work on Long Island. Now in our 22nd year, LIVE has matched volunteer teams with not-for-profit agencies looking for assistance with varied projects.

Long Island Cares is one of the region’s most comprehensive hunger assistance organizations, serving thousands of individuals and families in need.

Island Harvest is Long Island’s largest hunger relief organization; it serves as the bridge between those who have surplus food and those who need it. Our volunteers and staff “rescue,” or collect, good surplus food from over 800 local restaurants, caterers, farms, and other food-related businesses; and distribute it to a network of close to 570 soup kitchens, food pantries, and other places where those in need can access it.

The Long Island Volunteer Center is an all-volunteer agency working to provide support to, and promote and advocate for, volunteer service on Long Island. LIVC was designated a New York State Regional Volunteer Center in September 2011 to raise the profile of volunteerism on Long Island and increase volunteer engagement.

"Volunteers are the "Heartbeat of the House." Over 120 dedicated volunteers assist the House's staff in a variety of ways — it would be impossible to continue our mission without them. We welcome the participation of volunteers on many levels. A simple application and interview will help us determine how you will best be able to help out. All of our volunteers receive training about the mission of the House."
