Presidential Papers Collection

The Presidential Papers Collection includes documents from the tenures of Molloy's past presidents. These documents range extensively, and can include but are not limited to correspondence, President's reports, addresses and speeches, legal documents, minutes, newspaper clippings, and documents relating to campus decisions and events. Presidents' records and papers are processed at the end of their term.

Since its opening in 1955, Molloy has been governed by 8 presidents. The Presidential administrations included in this collection are:

  • 1955-1957: Mother Anselma Ruth, O.P., Ph.D. 
  • 1957-1962: Mother Bernadette de Lourdes, O.P.
  • 1962-1972: Sister Mary Celeste Beck, O.P., Ph.D.
  • 1972-1996: Sister Janet Fitzgerald, O.P., Ph.D.
  • 1996-1999: Dr. Martin D. Snyder, Ph.D.
  • 1999-2000: Acting President Dr. Valerie Collins, Ph.D. 
  • 2000-2020: Dr. Drew Bogner, Ph.D.
  • 2020-Present: Dr. James Lentini, Ph.D. (closed collection)

Our holdings of University and Student publications include course catalogs, president's reports, student handbooks, and yearbooks. Also included in this collection is student newspapers, Molloy newsletters, alumni magazines, and other student pamphlets and outreach materials. Some holdings are digitized.

Alumni and Faculty papers is comprised of materials and records generated by Molloy University's past students and faculty members. Alumni and Faculty papers are a rich resource detailing academic and student activities. Faculty holdings include correspondence, course notes, research files, and manuscripts. Alumni holdings include photographs, yearbooks, student publications, student handbooks, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, commencement materials, pamphlets, and memorabilia.
