Guide for creating and using Academic Writer (formerly APA Style Central)

Academic Writer and Leganto Reserves+

If you have references saved to your Academic Writer reference library that you regularly assign to students, it is a good idea to Export those citations and Import them into a Reading List or Collection. Please note that this is different than the Zotero connection and the directions below will work for any Citation Manager that allows you to export RIS files.

In Academic Writer:

  • Click Go to My References
  • Check the box for the references you wish to include in the RIS file export
    • It is a good idea to check, and correct, references prior to the export
  • Click More and Select Export References

  • From the dropdown, select RIS file
  • Click Submit
