If you have references saved to your Academic Writer reference library that you regularly assign to students, it is a good idea to Export those citations and Import them into a Reading List or Collection. Please note that this is different than the Zotero connection and the directions below will work for any Citation Manager that allows you to export RIS files.
In Academic Writer:
- Click Go to My References
- Check the box for the references you wish to include in the RIS file export
- It is a good idea to check, and correct, references prior to the export
- Click More and Select Export References
- From the dropdown, select RIS file
- Click Submit
Locate the RIS file on your computer. It is most likely in your Downloads and is called Academic_Writer_export.ris
In Leganto Reserves+:
To a Reading List section
- Go to the Reading List, it helps to be in the "section view"
- In the Section, click the three dots to open the menu
- Drag your RIS file to the provided area OR Click there to browse for the file
- Click save
To your Collection
- Go to Collection
- Click the three dots to open the Collection options
- Select import
- Drag your RIS file to the provided area OR Click there to browse for the file
