Molloy's Suffolk Center Library

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

A service that provides access to library materials such as books, book chapters, articles, DVD’s, dissertations, etc. which are not currently available in the Molloy' JET Library.  ILLiad is the automated interlibrary loan system used by the Molloy JET library. 

This ILL service is free for Molloy students, faculty and staff members. There is no fee for Molloy members to borrow materials or to request electronic copies of articles using ILLiad. For more information please visit our Interlibrary Loan/ILLiad Libguide.  

Materials that may be requested through interlibrary loan include:

  • Books (excluding textbooks being used in courses at Molloy) 
  • Selected articles from journals
  • Selected book chapters
  • Audiovisual materials (videos, DVD's) if available via ILL
  • Microfilm or Microfiche

Most physical materials such as books and DVD’s requested via Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) will arrive within 1-2 weeks, but in some cases it may take longer depending on availability. Most articles requested through ILLiad are received within 2-4 business days depending on availability.  These articles are delivered electronically directly to the user’s ILLiad account.
