Library 101

What is the difference between Virtual Hours and Online Offices Hours?

Virtual Hours are when the library is open and the librarians and staff are available. The Molloy Librarian email is checked, Online Chat is available, and virtual one-on-ones and classes are scheduled. Services such as reference, instruction, Illiad, reserves, and others are offered during this time.

Online office hours are specific hours where a librarian will be sitting in a Zoom meeting, waiting for people to join and ask questions. This is similar to walking up to a librarian at the Reference Desk when the library's physical buildings are open.

Join Online Office Hours with Zoom

During the Fall 2020 semester, once a day, the library will host open online office hours specifically for any and all questions. No appointment is necessary! Join the chat at any point during the scheduled hours - listed below. Keep in mind that multiple people can join during this time. If you wish to have private individual instruction, please schedule a one-on-one appointment.

It is best to use a computer but Zoom does have an app available for mobile devices. You do not need an account.

If you are using the app, enter the name jetlibrary. If you are using a computer, click the link below to get into the Zoom Room.
