The James E. Tobin Library provides 6 laptop computers to currently enrolled Molloy College students. An advance reservation is required and it is on a first-come, first-served basis.The laptops are available for checkout from the Patron Services/Reserves service point located in the Rochelle Sager Media Center with a Molloy College ID card. All laptops have Microsoft Office, web browsers, Adobe Reader and a media player.
How to Book a Laptop:
Click on the Availability link for any of the listed laptops. You'll see the available times for the laptop highlighted in green.
Choose the day you would like to reserve, then click on the time on the grid to begin making your reservation. A new box with time slots will open.
Choose the times you would like to reserve from the drop down menu, then click on Add to Cart if you want to make additional laptop bookings or Add to Cart & Checkout.
What Happens Next:
A form called Booking Details appears. Confirm the reservation details and fill out the booking form.
Click on the Submit my Booking button to complete your request. Note: You must be a current Molloy student and use your Molloy (@lions.molloy.edu) email address.
How You Are Notified:
You will receive an e-mail confirming your reservation request.
You can cancel your reservation by clicking on a link within the email. Replies are sent to email@example.com.
All return correspondence comes from firstname.lastname@example.org, so please be on the look out for it.

Laptop Computer Policies
Laptops can be reserved Monday - Thursday 8am - 9pm, Friday 8am - 7pm, Saturday 10am- 5pm, and Sunday 12pm - 7pm.
A valid Molloy ID card must be presented in order to checkout laptops and they may be borrowed for a four-hour time period.
Patrons can only borrow one laptop at a time.
Patrons with outstanding fines cannot checkout laptops. Overdue fines for laptops will be $10.00 per hour.
Laptops and chargers cannot be taken out of the library.
Laptops may only be used for academic purposes. Any work done on these computers cannot be saved, but can be sent to an email account or saved on flash drives. All files are automatically deleted when the computer is turned off. Patrons can not add any personal software or alter any software loaded on the laptop or change its existing configurations.
Reservations may be made up to 1 week in advance and are limited to ONE 4-hour time slot per day. In the event that a patron is late, his or her reservation will be honored for 15 minutes.
Laptops should not be left unattended in the library. The library will not be responsible for a lost or stolen laptop. It is the patron’s full responsibility and fiscal liability for all costs associated with damage to the laptop computer or its associated peripheral equipment or its replacement costs should itbe lost or stolen.
Patrons must return laptops and chargers to the Patron Services/Reserves staff. A laptop may not be left unattended at the Patron Services/Reserves or Circulation desk. Please report any computer hardware or software malfunctions to Patron Reserves staff when the laptop is returned.
If patrons experience problems with laptop hardware, applications or have other questions, they should ask for assistance at the Patron Services/Reserves desk. Patrons will be fiscally responsible for any damage to a laptop if they attempt to troubleshoot problems.
